Our Vision

The vision for a church is kind of like the “game plan”. It is what keeps a church moving forward, unifies the variety of people, and helps a church measure its’ effectiveness in its’ community. At FOM, our vision is actually very simple,

“Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength. And second is to love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-40)

Our vision is to help create environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue these 3 relationships:

  1. Genuine Worship of God
  2. Genuine relationship with other Christians
  3. Genuine compassion for our world

 

Founded on these 3 pursuits, FOM has developed 5 Membership Covenants that help our church continue to grow, remain focused on our priority, and clearly communicate our expectations of one another. The 5 Membership Covenants are further explained during our “Next Steps”. They are:

  1. Maturity Covenant - is a commitment to the habits necessary for spiritual growth.
  2. Ministry Covenant - is a commitment to discovering and using my God given gifts and abilities in serving God and others.
  3. Fellowship Covenant - is a commitment to building a genuine relationship with other members of this church family.
  4. Missions Covenant - is a commitment to sharing your "Genuine Story" and helping further God's kingdom by inviting others to experience what God is doing her at Fellowship of the Metroplex.
  5. Financial Covenant - is a commitment to support the various ministries and vision of Fellowship of the Metroplex by giving of tithes and offerings.
